Computer Based Information Systems are basically systems which manage huge amounts of data for business firms and organisations. They share information over a large database, which can be based on a local area network of the company. Or it can be shared over a Wide Network that can access data over large distances, which means that their information is shared over the internet or the company intranet.
1.2 BENEFITS TO BUSINESSES WITH GOOD QUALITY INFORMATION.
There are countless benefits to businesses due to their good quality information and the system that manages the information.
Some benefits are categorized as being more obvious, physical, real and straight forward, in other words, these are the tangible benefits of having good quality information. Although there are the less obvious benefits and the benefits that to us are vague, in other words there are plenty of intangible benefits to having a good information system...
