The Ninth symphony By. Ludwig van Beethoven The first public concert of Ninth Symphony was in Vienna on May 7, 1824. Beethoven himself conducted, that is, he stood in front of a conductor’s stand and threw himself back and forth like a mad man although he could not hear the music due to the deafness he knew in his head what it sounded like. Beethoven’s 9th symphony piece describes the catastrophic state of the world, it also shows his struggle to create this work as highly individual piece. - which basically means that he his going to go beyond the “norm” of music during that time and was exploring in the unknown.
