Well I will start off with my first child, Martin, who is now 9 years old. I was only 17 at the time, but very mature for my age, so I knew what was going on and I wasn't scared. I went into labor about 2am, while sleeping. Like most labors, it started off very very mild and I actually just laid in bed and let my husband(my x husband now)sleep. It was almost day light when I woke him up and told him, it was time. So he gets dressed, we are in no hurry, because the contractions were not bad at all. He calls everyone and tells them and off to the hospital we go. we get there, check in and I get hooked up the monitors, now this is 9 years ago and very different then today, as you will be able to tell from my birth stories on my next two children. I stayed on the monitors for a couple hours and they tell me I'm not far along yet, to go home. Which was ok to me, because I didn't like the room I was in, with 3 other women and just a screen separating us.
