In 1939, the world entered one of its darkest periods when World War Two began. In 1942, American troops officially entered the conflict. Although the war was fought abroad, it had a great impact on the American home front. Women experienced permanent changes in their lives. People across the country felt a greater sense of nationalism, as well as a fear of foreigners. World War Two had lasting effects on many aspects of American life. It created many problems which we would have to deal with during the post-war.
One way World War II affected life at home was on women. Women had to cook, clean, look after the children, and now take over the jobs their husbands left behind to keep the economy up. They had to deal with many hardships, however they sought through it...
