Official name: The “Religious Society of Friends“
- rely heavily on spiritual searching by individual members and on individual meetings (have regional assemblies)

- followers are to worship in silence, at meetings people would only talk if they were moved by God
- Fox promoted simple living and prohibition of alcohol
- spoke against holidays, sports, theater, jewelry etc.
