Clinton's Canning halt of a political downslide
Bill Clinton has made a successful recovery from an all time low approval rating. He has snatched himself away from the sharp jaws of ridicule of stand-up comics. Jay Leno and David Letterman were beginning to worry about the lull in their respective night time shows because of luck of interesting material for a biting monologue. It took a Clinton-five-hundred-dollar-haircut shenanigan to wet the appetite of the kings of comedy. Clinton became the first US president to have undergone the deepest vertical drop in the shortest time in approval rating of any modern US president. Well, in Iraq, he found a trampoline on the ground to land on. In doing so, he has formulated a successful equation for bouncing back from low opinion polls: any rebound to popularity of a US president = the ass-kicking of a perceived third world US enemy.
Political pundits have dubbed the Clinton administration as been indecisive and shortsighted. Several of his nominees for important cabinet positions have been rejected for various reasons.
