John Marshall was the first Chief Justice of the United States. He displayed his views on nationalism in many different cases. Three of these are Gibbons v. Ogden, McCulloch v. Maryland, and Dartmouth College v. Woodward. The rulings of all three of these support nationalism in their own way.
