Brenda Neff explains her view point on cohabiting through an article "Living together enriches couples relationship", where she brought out some advantages on cohabiting. Neff confirms that "Love can't conquer all. So, before couples tie the knot, they should know what they're getting into." But why does not love can conquer everything in life? Is it that we don't know the meaning of love or we want something else from love? The answer to this question whether it is a good idea to cohabit since love could not conquer everything is very hard to answer.
Neff is forcing us to believe that "The taboo against couples living together before marriage is decreasing" but she did not show the statistics behind that decreasing pattern, which is in fact meaningless. She is also assuming that living together for months or even for years always relationship ends up in marriage, which is not true in most cases. People who cohabit do not always look for a suitable person for getting married, rather for some hidden purposes too. The hidden purpose could be satisfying sexual desire, sharing the expenses as he/she had to bear it all alone if not cohabiting or getting a good company inside the house where he/she would have to look for someone in clubs, pubs or some other place for a good time...
