Where Are Large People's Place in Our Society?
What is your opinion of large people? Do you think that they are people who have a problem controlling their urges to eat? Or are they normal people who God made large to show that everyone is not the same? Everyone has their own opinion on what they think about large people and why they got that way. One particular woman by the name of Carey Goldberg writes about an annual convention, the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance (NAAFA), and the knowledge she has of this issue by attending this association.
Goldberg's article, "People of Size Gather to Promote Fat Acceptance", was published in the New York Times newspaper about the 1999 convention held in Framingham, Massachusetts that she attended. She uses a couple of different types of arguments to strengthen her article, but she mainly leans toward arguments based on values.
