The Stone Of Youth By: Andreas Gunberg Once upon a time in a land not far away, there was a mean king who was becoming old and tired. But then one of his seers told him that up north there was a village with a stone that was told to be imbued with magical powers. The legend said that the man who possessed the stone would be granted eternal youth. The king immediately sent his best knight Black Knut and his soldiers to relieve the peaceful little village of the stone, the person who gave him the stone would be granted the beautiful princess as compensation. In the village it was a beautiful, perfectly ordinary morning. The sun was shining and the birds were singing. A young boy by the name of Aron the son of the local miller had just awoken and was on his way to the baker with some flour. Suddenly there came a man running and he cried out: - They’re coming! They’re coming! A couple of men rushed up to him and tried to calm him down - Who’s coming? One of the men asked. - Black Knut and his soldiers are coming this way, he said. They’ve already torched my village and taken everybody as prisoners. I was barely able to escape; the only thing they said was that they were looking for some kind of a stone. - The stone of youth, everyone said (except the fleeing man). The old village mage who was the stone’s guardian knew what a grave matter this was, so he approached the crowd and said: We’ve got to hide the stone quickly!
