Today surfing has become more of a popular sport than one might think. Surfing can be learned art all ages and just about any place that offers a beach. Surfing has give some the opportunity to compete in national competitions and make money, or become signed to a label and make more with the possibility of publicity. However, for some the chances in pursuing one of those dreams are one in a million because of the stern restrictions that take place in Virginia. For example, only being able to surf in certain spots at the beach, and not being able to go out enough to catch a decent wave. Supporters of the law would say that the policies have been put in place to protect the people; however, opponents would disagree. The local government obviously overlooks that local surfers are not the only potentially dangerous water activities that take place in Virginia Beach. Therefore, surfing restrictions should not be enforced.
Surfers are just one of the many people who contribute to the funding of numerous beach programs. One would include, surfers are tax payers who also pay to have the sane replenished...
