Entry I decided to do a critique of the movie we watched in class Real Women Have Curves. ... The main one is the fact that it shows that women should be proud of how they look and not be guided by what society tries to make them out to be. ... However, the majority of young women are not, they are in doubt about who they are and what they can do with their lives, and a lot of them unfortunately fall by the wayside instead of finding a calling worthy of their talent. This is especially true in the Latin and Mexican American cultures, where not only women but everyone’s identity seems to be decided for them before they even know what identity is based on their surroundings and the areas they live.
