The definition of experience in the Oxford English dictionary is as such "The actual observation of facts or events, considered as a source of knowledge" also "The fact of being consciously the subject of a state or condition, or of being consciously affected by an event. Also an instance of this; a state or condition viewed subjectively; an event by which one is affected."
The "experience" is the listening experience. In that I mean the experience is what the audience experiences whilst listening to the track and the interaction between the composer and the listener, and the listener with the composer. What is important is how the listener interprets the musical piece, as senses are evoked by all elements of the music. These are controlled by two variables repetition and its opposite change. These two principles control the movement of the piece, and determines whether the track travels or remains static. I will show the roll repetition and change effect both minimalism and hybrid music.
