Imagine its 1956 and you have finally taken a drink from a river in which you had been in search of for years. What is going through your mind? What are you feeling? Do you feel a sense of accomplishment?
Robert O. Collins was the person I was talking about. After he retired, he decided to write a book of his accomplishments and hardships he had encountered while on his journey to the Nile. His purpose was to distill the voluminous academic social and scientific literature into an understandable and easy flowing story of a great river from its remotest springs to the Mediterranean. His only difficulty in writing this book, is the facts that there are hundreds of languages spoken.
The big issue in this book is where the source of the Nile river and where it begins...
