How many different types of people go to hardware stores, like Home Depot? Apparently, not all customers that go to Home Depot, are very smart or can follow directions. The customers' intelligence level goes from one extreme to the next, and it really stands out when they use self-checkout. Self-checkout helps Home Depot because it allows one cashier to watch four registers at once. Also, self-checkout is a way for the customers to ring their own items up and it was made to help the customers' checkout faster. Although, there is an inconsistency with how fast a trip to self-checkout can be. Most of the inconsistency is based on what the customer is capable of doing. There are many types of customers that attempt to use self-checkout, which only some are successful at.
The people that are successful with self-checkout are the experienced customers who understand how it works. The machine says exactly what needs to be done in order for self-checkout to run smoothly for the customer...
