Emergency Procedures
An emergency can happen at any time, so it is very important that all procedures are well known. Each employee upon commencing employment with the business, is issued with an emergency procedures booklet and it is vital that it is read and understood.
Upon your commencement you will be informed of your responsibilities in regards to emergency procedures. You will be issued with a booklet if you are in charge of shutting down machines or systems before an evacuation. This will outline exactly the correct procedure which must be taken.
At all times there will be employees who have been trained for an emergency and what to do. You will be given a list of names of people to contact in the event of an emergency and it is expected that this list is carried at all times.
Located in every room is a map of the entire building marking out the fire exits and the assembly area, and also the route to take to this area, when located in different parts of the building. Also in every room there is a first aid kit and a phone to use for emergencies.
