Dating all the way back to the years of ancient Rome, people have been fascinated with violence. People killing other people has been on the top list of violent things to see for years. Even in the modern days, people are still fascinated with sports like boxing and ultimate fighting. Though these are legal, much of this type of entertainment is illegal. For example, cockfighting where two angry chickens fight each other and people bet on who wins. This mentality of watching things fight is very evident in Bum Fights. Though there aren't many advocates for the rights of chickens involved in cockfighting, there are plenty involved in the protection of the homeless portrayed in the videos of Bum Fights. The producers' gains from Bum Fights in the expense of the homeless portrayed in them are a perfect example of how society today is mostly individualistic.
Advocates for homeless peoples' rights believe the homeless featured in Bum Fights are being exploited and taken advantage of for the gain of the producers...
