Through reading the entire book, The English Revolution, by G.M. Trevelyan, I began to notice that the revolutionary period could be split up very easily by who was running the country at the time. This led me to look at the notes I had taken last semester in my Theatre History course. There too, it seemed, that there were very distinct lines as to who was ruling and what different parts of the revolutionary period were called. Then as I was researching this for presentation, I stumbled across a web site (http://www2.sunysuffolk.edu/westn/englishrev.html) from which most of this information comes. It was very well laid out, and, as I had observed, pointed out the different parts of the revolution with specific names...
