A Successful Student
Coming into college as a new freshman I thought that I wouldn't be able to handle the hard work and stress that college brings. Little did I know I had been preparing myself for college throughout my education. Things are obviously different know from high school, but my rules for success are still the same. Basic things that helped me be a successful student were managing my time, comprehending what I was studying, and using the resources of the school.
A big problem for many students in college is time management. It is extremely easy to say, "I have two weeks to get my paper done, so I'll start it in a few days." After a week and a half you finally realize your paper is due in a few days and you spend that time rushing to get it done. Sure, your paper was handed in on time, but the quality of your work may not have been the best that you could achieve. Procrastinating in any class can cause you to fall behind in your work, resulting in a bad grade. There are many ways for someone to change this horrible habit...
