Conflict in the Hatred of Books
Conflict is used to portray a sense of hatred to books in Ray Bradbury's, Fahrenheit 451. On almost every turn of the page, books are being burned in a hatred of fire, keeping the truthful information from the controlled society. Many times the books are burned with great pleasure to the firefighters.
The first words used by Ray Bradbury were, "It was a pleasure to burn. It was a special pleasure to see things eaten, to see things blackened and changed. (Bradbury 3)" Montag said these words with the first burning of the books. He seemed happy to burn the information written by great people. Not caring what would happen to the future of the world. Let us all have our minds run by the government.
