Who we are is best explained by our personality. Personality is defined as your characteristic pattern of thinking, feeling, and acting. Personality is influenced by many aspects. It also affects other developments of the body. Different viewpoints based on what personality is and what role it plays may explain in various ways the human behavior.
Sigmund Freud explored personality through a psychoanalytical perspective. Freud believed that personality arises from a conflict our aggressive pleasure seeking biological impulses and the restraints that exist against them socially. He believed that personality was the result of our attempts to resolve the conflict. Freud thought the conflict to revolve around three intertwined systems.
