War With Iraq

Whether or not we should go to war with Iraq is something many people have passionate feelings about, whether they're for or against it. Those for it believe that attacking Iraq is a preventative measure against terrorism, and that if we don't attack Iraq, Iraq will attack us. A lot of people think Saddam Hussein is a tyrannical leader, and we have to go to war with his country to get rid of him. Many, including the Bush administration, believe that Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction, and that attacking his country is the only way to stop him from using them. The Bush administration also says that that Hussein has violated U.N. Security Council resolutions regarding weapons inspections, and the time has come to stop him by force.
Saddam Hussein is indeed a dangerous, evil man. But that should not be a sufficient basis for taking the war to Iraq. For several reasons, the Bush administration should not follow a successful prosecution of the war in Afghanistan with another war in Iraq unless it presents evidence that Saddam helped finance, organize, or implement the Sept...
