For this assignment, I chose different companies from two different product categories. The first advertisment I chose is for the new Trail Edition Land Rover Discovery which fits into the automobile product category. The advertisment features pictures of exotic animals in the wild at the top of the advertisment. Below that is a central picture of the new Land Rover Discovery in a field with all of it's new features surounding the vehicle. I chose this as the advertisment which uses a central route to persuation for a number of reasons. First, this advertisment offers any reader who is serious about purchasing or leasing a Land Rover many attractive features on the new vehicle such as a V8 engine, protective brush bar with driving lamps, leather interior and permanet 4WD. These features along with the pictures of the exotic animals grab the attention of consumers who are interested about purchasing a new Land Rover. The listed features around the Land Rover provoke readers to think about whether or not these are the features they are looking for in a new vehicle. Finally, this advertisments pictures attempt to persuade potential buyers they will be able to travel further and see more with the new Trail Edition Land Rover Discovery.
