As I entered the HOST classroom for orientation, I was anxious to find out what the HOST Program was all about. So, I began to read through the papers and realized that this is an remarkable program, and I knew that I was going to really enjoy working with some amazing kids. My first official day of HOST began as I waited outside the classroom until it was my turn to begin my HOST session. While waiting outside, I talked to another couple who were also participating in the HOST program. One man, an anthropology professor at A&M, informed me that he and his wife have been doing HOST for a couple of years, and how it was such a rewarding experiences for them. The students from the session before walked out with smiles on their faces and, it was so pleasant to see that the kids truly enjoyed their HOST session. I finally entered the classroom, and met the first student I would be working with for the rest of the semester.
