When one is pure of heart, he embraces things even if it is not part of his destiny or plan in life. On the contrary, if one is a religious fanatic, he is excessively committed or overcommitted to something in such a way that he is constrained of going out of that boundary and embracing other things.
It is commonplace to see overcommitted individuals in this way today in this world. You have that obsessed nerd all stuck up in his room with his books and not allowing him self to be friends with the other people in his community. His boundary is in his books and when people need help from him, he simply shoves them away. There are those politicians who are obsessed with power and don't care about the general welfare of the people anymore. They only care about how much they can control the lives of others and don't care about those others anymore. I have to admit that I myself have been overcommitted in this way at some point in my life. I was too obsessed with computer games before that I didn't even care about playing with my little sister. All I wanted to do was finish the computer game instead of making my sister happy...
