Close your eyes and imagine a world, a perfect world, with no poverty, no famine, and a cure for cancer. And can you visualize a place where no one ever died and was immortal?
Through the use of cloning and genetic engineering scientists are figuring out ways to duplicate humans, make perfect humans, and find cures for countless diseases. Scientists are trying to tamper with genes, which are found in the DNA of a cell that tells it how it must look and what it must do. Scientists can make duplicates of an existing gene and make a whole new cell. This suggests that genetic engineers can duplicate you, your memories and thoughts before you die and so when you die there is another copy of you still living, meaning this way you can live everlastingly. I morally despise the idea of immortality.
If you think about it, why tamper with what nature has intended to happen. As the old saying goes," Whatever Mankind invented, it will never better what nature intended". Meaning if we try perfecting nature, while nature is naturally perfect in the first place, there really is no point in meddling...
