American football has surpassed baseball in recent years as “America’s past time. ... In addition, because of the low salaries and many other competitive football leagues, there is a very limited talent pool to be chosen from putting the competitiveness of the XFL in jeopardy. ... The XFL’s tangible resources look strong. ... On the human side, there is a conflict as the managerial skills appear to be quite strong with many of the personnel working for the XFL having worked in other competitive football leagues. ... Through its organizational abilities, the XFL was able to use the competencies it employs to transform inputs into outputs. ... Every week there seemed to be a new announcement, as the team at XFL, partly because of strategy and partly because of new issues arising every week wanted to create a buzz and receive plenty of media coverage. ...
