My Advice to Teachers and Parents
Throughout this course I have learned various strategies and methods to effectively raise and handle children throughout their development. It is imperative for teachers, parents or guardians to be receptive of the following information. In order to elaborate how to raise or guide a child on the effective road of development we must first understand the definition of what a well-adjusted child is.
A well-adjusted child can be best defined by the use of Glenn and Brock's significant seven. The first three of the seven factors of a well-adjusted child incorporate healthy self-concept and healthy self-esteem. Well adjusted children posses' perceptions of personal capabilities, personal significance, and personal influence. The first has the children admitting to themselves that they can face their own problems and challenges and gain wisdom and strength through their experiences. The second, perceptions of personal significance, explains how the child understands that their life has meaning and purpose. They grasp who they are, and what they have to offer in life and relationships. The third, perceptions of personal influence, deals with the children being able to take responsibilities for their own actions and choices in life...
