Zora Neale Hurston is a Harlem Renaissance author. Her famous novel Their Eyes Were Watching God shows the intelligence of a unique writer. Her novel tells the story of a woman and her life of love, struggle and a search for happiness.
Zora Neale Hurston inspires me to continue to fulfill my hopes and dreams through her book with her creative writing style. Though so many people didn't positively respond to her blunt and aggressive techniques, she still reaches her audience as a sophisticated black woman. The contrast of her dialogue shows her education. In Their Eyes Were Watching God, Hurston uses formal language and a southern dialect to depict her edification. Her vivid explanations guide you in exploring the life of Janie starks. Janie goes through multitudes of dilemmas, and has the unwanted privilege of being the talk of the town.
