Issues that cause family problems
Why are a large percentage of our families being torn by issues like; divorce, violence, drug abuse, alcoholism, verbal abuse, depression, death, adultery and etc. In this essay I will be discussing many of these issues, and using examples from "And the Soul Shall Dance" and "Kiswana Browne." To say one reason exists is for causing family trouble is crazy. The complexities of multiple kinds of issues are the reason for most family problems. Sometimes we are unable to see that solution because we become overwhelmed and limit our perception. Like Mrs. Oka in "And the Soul Shall Dance," she could only see things one way. She felt her only escape from Mr. Oka's abuse was alcohol or death. She had nobody else to help her see any other ways of solution...
