For years, people have pondered on whether God's existence can be proven. One way to look at this would be through the concept of absolute truth. An absolute truth is something that is true for any circumstance, no matter what it may be. The concept of absolute truth can be explained by this traditional parable:
An elephant was brought to a group of blind men who had never encountered such an animal before. One felt a leg and reported that an elephant is a great living pillar. Another felt the trunk and reported that an elephant is a great snake. Another felt a tusk and reported that an elephant is like a sharp plowshare, and so on. Then they all quarreled together, each claiming that his own account was the truth and therefore all the others false (Absolute Understanding).
What these blind men are experiencing would not be considered an absolute truth because they each perceived the elephant as something different. On the other hand, none of their accounts would be considered false...
