My Journey Through Education 201
This semester in Education 201 I have learned many things on my journey of becoming a teacher. For the first time in my life I have had to think hard about how I will actually teach and what I believe about students and teachers. My experience in Education 201 has supported me so I am able to complete the standards for the School of Education at the College of Charleston.
When I first entered Education 201 I had no idea what the class was about. I decided I did not like the class before I even gave it a chance. Finally, half way through the semester I realized all of our class discussions were about what we were supposed to learn in the class. I started to give the class a chance and try to understand the point of it. Once I decided to pay attention, I started to learn many new things. I realized everything we were learning would help us become the best teachers we could be. The part of the class I learned the most about was how teachers teach if they believe all students can learn, and about the different philosophies and methods of teaching...
