There are a variety of reasons linked to the continuous legacy of King Arthur. Numerous messages have been interpreted from this work of literature. One popular belief seems to be that King Arthur had both natural and humble leadership ability. King Arthur, who does not need to work at his abilities, is most eloquent even in sickness. While fatally wounded, King Arthur continues with his concern about his fallen knight, which shows his true appreciation for those who remain at his aide. Another leadership quality Arthur portrays is patience, highly noticeable with Sir Bedivere who betrays his orders. Not until Bedivere disobeys two times is it that the king loses this patience. A highly respected quality of King Arthur is his loyalty to his knights.
