This paper will discuss Layers Above The Rest Bakery management plan. The management plan that is chosen by the Bakery is Horizontal Corporation. Dessler says, “Horizontal Corporation is a structure organized around customer-oriented process performed by multidisciplinary cross-functional teams rather than formal functional departments” (Dessler, 2001, pg. 237).We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the structure chosen. Discuss allocation of resources, time, money, people and capital to the organization in support of the strategic plan. There are four areas on the organization chart and their budget: 1. Dessler says, “Human Resource Management is the management function devoted to acquiring, training, appraising, and compensating employees. This department controls staffing, job analysis, creating job description, job specification, personnel planning and replacement chart, recruiting and job posting. Now let break it down and explain the meaning of these areas. Dessler says, “Staffing is actually filling a firm’s open organizational positions. Job analysis is the procedure used to determine the duties of particular jobs and the kinds of people who should be hired for them.
