Flash Animation and its Use on the Internet

Macromedia Flash is a program that is used to create animation or games for a rich and fun Internet experience. Flash is used all over the Internet, for professional use in web-based presentations or for the personal use of making a web page attractive.
When Flash was originally designed, its intended use was not for the Internet or animation. Flash was designed and developed by Jonathan Gay, a computer programmer since he was a teenager. His first computer was an Apple II and he began programming with the computer program, Apple II Basic. In Apple Basics, he developed his own computer game and soon after that he started working with Pascal. In Pascal he wrote his first graphics program and in high school he entered his program in the science fair. Because of his success in the science fair he bought one of the first Macintosh computers and his father decided to take him to a Macintosh users group. There he met Charlie Jackson who was looking to start a Macintosh software company, Silicon Beach Software. He didn't have the money to start it and was impressed by Jonathan's graphics program; he asked Jonathan to write programs for him and he would pay Jonathan when he sold these first programs...
