It seems that for as long as celebrities have been around, so has the Paparazzi. The Paparazzi feel it is their job to expose the secrets of the stars and to show them at their worst moments. There are very hard feelings for the Paparazzi by many celebrities because they feel the Paparazzi interfere with their life and leave them with little or no privacy. ... The thing about the Paparazzi is that they are still protected under the 1st Amendment. In this paper we plan to discuss the rights that the Paparazzi and celebrities have, a look at some of the celebrities that have been greatly targeted by the Paparazzi, problems that face celebrities that are forced to deal with the Paparazzi and how the Paparazzi has managed to stay around for as long as it has all while being promoted by other types of media.

While most photographers photograph for pure enjoyment, the Paparazzi sell their pictures to trashy tabloids for money (Vergara). The Paparazzi are extremely nosy, rude, invade the privacy of the stars, and will do whatever it takes to get the photograph. As much as it is wrong of the Paparazzi, the public is also to blame. Celebrities have become products themselves and are in demand through TV, magazines, radio, etc. Celebrities are advertised just as much as materialistic things are advertised or more. ... The Paparazzi have become an anecdote and are managers of the photos so that the person who is not a celebrity will go out and buy magazines, view certain shows, to see how a celebrity lives and keep up with an individuals life; the general public wants to get to know them better. The Paparazzi are completely unnecessary, yet there is the majority of the public that upholds these people known as celebrities. The general public however gets captured by these celebrities photos and way of living as though they seem to be looking for a life in someone else’s; the celebrity maybe.
The public’s infatuation with celebrities whom they feel they know so well, but are perfectly strangers are invading the privacy of these ordinary people.
