Celebrities and the Paparazzi

It seems that for as long as celebrities have been around, so has the Paparazzi. The Paparazzi feel it is their job to expose the secrets of the stars and to show them at their worst moments. There are very hard feelings for the Paparazzi by many celebrities because they feel the Paparazzi interfere with their life and leave them with little or no privacy. Many stars have attempted to fight back. Some have gotten results but most have not. The thing about the Paparazzi is that they are still protected under the 1st Amendment. In this paper we plan to discuss the rights that the Paparazzi and celebrities have, a look at some of the celebrities that have been greatly targeted by the Paparazzi, problems that face celebrities that are forced to deal with the Paparazzi and how the Paparazzi has managed to stay around for as long as it has all while being promoted by other types of media.
The first thing to look at is bills that have been passed to try and stop the Paparazzi from harassing or following celebrities. Representative Sonny Bono introduced the Protection from Personal Intrusion Act of 1997.
