Frigidity is a female sexual dysfunction, which describes women who are
indifferent or hostile to sexual intercourse, who have no response to sexual advances
or stimulation, or who are unable to have an orgasm during sexual intercourse.
Frigidity affect females of different ages, it might occur in older women who
are menopausal or younger women. Frigid women are usually cold tempered. This
sexual dysfunction is usually a psychological problem, but can also be a hormonal
problem.
The common causes of frigidity are due to unskilled or uncaring partner,
who might only care about him, and the woman stays unsatisfied, disappointed in
sex and sometimes even disgusted. The other cause might be because of poor
communication between partners. If two people are not talking there is no way they
can know anything about their relationship. People can not read each other's mind.
Anxiety, depression, fear of pregnancy, and feelings of guilt and shame about sex
often play a part in this sexual dysfunction. Females who have never engaged in
sexual activities or who do not know enough about sex might have a fear of pain or
infection that they think sex will cause...
