People are afraid of what they don't understand. Many don't understand what they consider different. Therefore, that makes them afraid, and when someone is afraid they don't act rationally. Gentlemen's Agreement is a real eye opener on anti-Semitism. It really makes you take a step back and look at reality, at all the flaws in human nature, the way people are treated by one another, and the way society is run. It shows how people stereotype, and how they can be anti-Semitic without even knowing. People who have no recollection of being anti-Semitic can still be. Some try extremely hard to prove to others that they aren't anti-Semitic, and there are others who are proud to be. Prejudice is everywhere in this nation, whether it is race, religion, or gender. "Gentlemen's Agreement" really does fight against unfairness and cruelty...
