Schindler
My central point during this paper will be on why Oskar Schindler enlisted the Jews into working for his factory, why he protected them from the Nazis, why he listened to them, and how he grew apart from the Nazis and more toward the Jews. First, I will point out on how Oskar Schindler turned from a selfish man who only wanted money into a man who would soon be saving the lives of many Schindler Jews. I will then show you the transformation of Oskar Schindler during the movie.
In the beginning of the movie, Oskar Schindler is shown in a cheap hotel room removing his money from secret hiding places he has stored his money. He is then soon spending all of his money in a nightclub that is treating the German military to drinks and good seats for the show. Oskar Schindler is portrayed here as an independent and distinct man. Here in the nightclub scene we see that Oskar is unaffected by the Nazi terror. Schindler is a man who is selfish, mean-spirited, rude, and dishonest. Only through the movie do we notice the first color besides black and white, red. Oskar Schindler notices as the German army is clearing out the Krakow ghetto, does he notice this little girl wearing a red jacket
trying to escape from the Nazi terror...
