Depression
Depression is an uncomfortable mental state that may be characterized by such adjectives as blue, dejected, or discouraged. Depression can also be a disease within itself or a symptom of another mental disorder. This mental state is a very troubling problem to actually go through and creates many problems for all sorts of individuals.
The mere interpretation of depression was first brought to light by a German psychiatrist named Emil Kraepelin. Whom developed the current classification of depression in 1895. Then came Sigmund Freud in 1917, and discovered how to uncover depression with his psychoanalysis. These were the two most important people that made depression possible to interpret and understand its ideals. But of course Albert Ellis, who idolized Sigmund Freud, and Lucino Bini would both take their place in the history books to create new theories of their own. Such as his own nonmedical approach: Rational-Emotive Therapy. And Bini had his ECT treatment which shocked people out of depression...
