Health Care or No Care
I still remember tag your it and turning around that corner like an indy car driver and then it happen. It felt like someone swung a bag of bricks at my head and I paused. It didn't hurt that bad but then I realized everyone was staring at me and that's when I touched my head and felt the blood rushing down at the point I knew I had some problems. The man next to me caught me just before I hit the ground and helped lean me up against the wall and reassured me that he was a paramedic and I was going to be ok. Everyone wanted to wait for the ambulance but the paramedic said that I was loosing too much blood so off we went and I was greeted at the front door by a whole group of doctors and nurses who took me into the very cold room where I was easily treated and 17 stitches later ready to go home. But because it was a head injury I couldn't sleep that night but all I wanted to do was sleep so video games entertained me for the next six hours in till I was allowed to sleep.
To think only how lucky I was an inch in any direction I could have died. It speedy action that saved me but I have always thought what would two minutes or one inch done I always thought I might not be here today. I always have been so grateful for that hospital and how I was taken care of so quickly and never thought there could possible be any thing wrong with them. But one day a friend and I were playing basketball and he came down on his ankle in a very weird way and from the moment he hit the ground I could tell it was broken...
