Bias Reporting In The News Media
The big three news outlets such as ABC, CBS and NBC have all been accused of slanting their reporting toward the liberal left. James C. Roberts (2002), "It's a fact long understood by conservatives and one that has been empirically proven by numerous studies, so in that sense Bias is old news" (p.12). For about 10 years now, the cable news outlets such as Fox News, MSNBC and CNN have accused each other of bias reporting themselves. Even the market reports on CNBC, CNNfn and Fox News have different accounts on the stock market and where the economy is heading. The cable news outlets are leading the way with their 24 hour reporting of news events. NPR has long been known for their more liberal slant towards American politics. Talk radio is known for its more conservative views with Rush Limbaugh leading the way as the most popular radio personality.
