In his fifth book, Dilbert and the way of the weasel, Scott Adams touches upon the universal truth that all people are weasels. By using humor and experiences from his life and that of his readers the author is effective able to get his point across. In the first chapter avoiding work the weasel way he explains how a weasel uses many different techniques to avoid accomplishing any real work throughout the course of a normal day. The author states that the key to avoiding work is to look like you already have enough to work to do to keep you busy until you're ready to retire. The best way to do this is to appear busy when people come to you for help so they will feel bad and not ask you. Also the author states that offering to help someone when you have no intention of doing so is an effective way to avoid work yet appear helpful and make yourself look good at the same time. The best way to do this is to leave them poorly written notes, send incomprehensible E-mail, or leave them impossible to understand voice mail messages is also an effective way to avoid work. Aside from being one of the funniest books I've ever read all the techniques work very well...
