In Philadelphia, the school board has approved of a uniform policy for its 217,000 students. Recently, it has been the largest school district to do so. There are widely spread theories on wearing uniforms in schools. Students dislike wearing them for reasons of loss of individuality and creativity. Parents and educators, however, state that uniforms reduce violence and bring equality. Who is right? Better yet, should there be uniforms in school? No, it should not be required for students to wear uniforms for reasons of individuality, comfort and costs.
The requirement of uniforms help destroy ones individuality. Once everyone wears the same thing to school everyday, students would lose their individual tastes of clothes...
