"The Fall" is the third chapter of The Book of Genesis. Genesis in other words
"The Creation", is a biblical text that contains a description of the beginning of all
existence. "The Fall" is a passage of The Old Testament that has significant meaning to
both Christian and Judaic ideas about the relationship between the God and the human beings and furthermore it's important text that questions the role of evil in our world.
"The Fall" tells us the story that took place in Garden of Eden. Woman tempted by a serpent decides to eat a fruit from a forbidden tree. Her husband follows her step as they both are lured by the serpent's promise that their "eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil" (Witt 234). After they test the fruit they suddenly become aware of their nakedness. Soon God comes and asks the woman and the man about their disobedience and decides to punish everyone including the snake, the tempter. From now on woman would give birth in pain and man would have to work hard to survive. They both will be no longer protected from earthly suffering...
