There are many reasons why President George Bush should not be re-elected, but three policies really stand out. These three policies are the estate tax, the healthy forests initiative, and his energy policy. Almost all of his policies, including these three, seem to be directed towards helping the rich get richer at the expense of the poor and the working people.
The estate tax is also known, to the public, as a "death tax" because it is only paid when someone dies. In this tax, all someone has to do to avoid having their heirs pay is leave them an estate that is worth less than $600,000. There are many advantages to increasing the estate tax rate. One is, it tends to equilize wealth. Also, most people don't need an inheretance to live, the money is just a bonus. Added to many other arguments, many cannot figure out why the President wants to advocate phasing out the tax. Obviously he is not interested in the greater good but in preserving and protecting...
