Early African History and Present Day Geography
African history began after the Flood, when Ham's three sons (one of Noah's three sons) migrated there. Mizraim migrated to the land we call Egypt. Egypt became one of the first great empires in history. Phut migrated to the area of Libya in the Sahara Desert. The Sahara has not always been a desert. In Phut's day the Sahara was green and fertile with rivers running through the land. Wild animals such as elephants, giraffes, and hippopotamuses wandered in the Sahara. These people painted scenes from everyday life on the rocks of the Sahara's plateau. It showed that they made musical instruments, baskets, pottery, and jewelry.
