Finger mouse was a local band, which was based in Wareham they use to play at the fitness club and in cyber café in the area. ... Things to get people involved
Other cheap ways to advertise and get publicity/publicity stunts
Here are some other things you could do to get extra publicity Town crier (you can pay town criers to advertise for you, there is one in Dorchester near the market), Flyer (costs to distribute possibly pay some one £5 or free entry to the club), Free Adds (the magazine costs but to advertise free or some other type of magazine like Krang you may need to pay), Newspaper (this normally costs but is still fairly cheap), Get some one to die in club possibly nothing quite as dramatic (get on the news though this may build a reputation for your club that you may not want), Shop windows (this also costs but not that much in alldays it is something like 20P a week for A6 piece of paper), radio (you may need to sponsor a competition or something e g give away merchandise or free tickets), on some sort of product (like milk in America but you could make your one products like battery powered glow things), Special offers (group tickets cheaper at a curtain time), Tear off style on lamppost (like window cleaners done by sowing machines with no cotton in perforate the paper to make it easy to tare off though this would take time and money to make), Internet (you can make a free sight or you can pay a little money to put your self on gig guide or something), Well known DJ or band (will cost a bit more to get some one more famous a small club could never afford a signed band or a really good DJ), Bulletin boards (in clubs or in public places even in pubs if they let you), Publicity stunts (strange things to make bystanders remember it Nothing to obsidian or rude ) Gang war fair / mafias (Lots of groups to come possibly group discount not necessary gangs but clubs book clubs or the local bickers though this may not be such a good idea to encourage violent clubs), Banners (are cheep and big and colourful but can cost to make and put up), Pay people to bring their friends (Or to get in free / group discounts), Trickery (try to make people think there going to a 70’s night in stead of a 2070’s night) Desktops of computers back grounds (it has worked before), On a bench plank or some sort of charity event.
