Not Just Your Average Man
"Someday we should get a telescope, than we could really see them good!" I said while lying next to my Dad.
Those were the carefree nights when my Dad, or Da as I call him, and I would lay in the backyard and look up at the stars. Our dog, Laddy, at the time would sit patiently with us while Gus, our younger collie chased any animal that crossed his path. Those were the moments when with all of my heart I can say I loved my life. The moments that were spent with my Dad.
As each season changes now, I realise more and more how much my Dad means to me. I think back to the mornings when I would wake to him ironing his crisp white shirts to wear under his suits. This was all that I knew of him then. He was a buisiness man who on the weekends would mowe our green grass while the dogs chased after his legs...
