Even when it seems that there is clear evidence that a link exists between media violence and aggressive behavior, it is not a definite fact. Although television, movies and music are having a great impact on teen violence however, it is not the only cause of violent behavior. It is extremely rare for a teen to be driven to crime completely by things they watch on televisions, movie theatres and music lyrics they hear on the radio without there being something that desensitized them to it in the first place. In many cases, adolescents who commit crimes often have a troubled past or present exposure to violence in their homes and they also have a lack of adult guidance. Teens who are already vulnerable with emotional, behavioral, learning or impulse control problems may be more influenced by the media violence and may pick up ideas and copy behavior that they see in a movie.
